Shields Cares Mission
“Shields Cares” is an employee innovated and managed fund-raising group. The objective of this group is to grow a pool of funds that will be used to assist our co-workers who have financial needs based on unexpected medical needs. This grass-roots initiative is based on the Shields core values of kindness, character, and excellence.

Our founder, Tom Shields, said it best:

Tom and Mary’s compassion and willingness to give back is the foundation of Shields Health and has been carried on by the Shields Family and by so many of you. We are amazed by your passion for helping children, animals and the homeless. Your commitment to equality, voter registration and so much more is inspiring. Shields wants to help you give back by providing 50 grants of a day off, with pay, to volunteer for a cause about which you are passionate.
These grants will be available starting January 1, 2024 and for the following 12 months. Apply today for a grant to give back!
