Employee of the Month

Julie Brown

ASC Revenue Cycle Specialist

Julie has consistently gone above and beyond in her efforts to support a patient whose insurance claim was denied. From the outset, she demonstrated exceptional dedication, compassion, and professionalism in guiding the patient through what can often be a complex and overwhelming process.

Not only did Julie take the time to thoroughly assist the patient with their member appeal, but she also thoughtfully reviewed the appeal at the patient’s request to ensure it was clear, complete, and well-positioned for reconsideration. Her willingness to provide detailed feedback and reassurance reflects her genuine commitment to patient advocacy.

In addition, Julie proactively made herself available to participate in a three-way call with the patient and the insurance company to clarify the specifics of the claim denial. This level of involvement required extra time, coordination, and persistence, all of which she handled with patience and professionalism.

Julie’s actions exemplify outstanding patient-centered care. She did far more than fulfill her basic responsibilities. She became a true advocate for the patient, ensuring they felt supported, informed, and heard throughout the process.
