Employee of the Month
MT Shore
MRI Technologist
Recently MT had an extremely difficult patient for a double study at the end of a long shift. This patient was in severe pain, arrived two hours early for his test and was agitated that he had to wait and refused to change. He needed multiple breaks and intervention during the exam. MT offered countless solutions for the patient but nothing resolved his pain and agony and he refused to reschedule with medication. The patient was unkind towards MT despite her empathy and compassion. Witnessing the encounter I was in awe of MT and the patience she had with this patient. She remained professional and kind at all times despite the nasty words and orders he shouted at her. She was able to get his exam completed without a magic wand and stayed late to do so. MT sets a high standard of patient care each and every day that makes those who work beside her follow suit.
