Kaitlin is just 30 days out from her training graduation for Boston/North, and she demonstrated remarkable initiative when a patient called to schedule their cardiac scan at University.
She reached out to her manager to get the visit released but quickly recognized that the authorization had expired. Without hesitation, Kaitlin called University to inquire if they could accommodate the scan before the expiration, but unfortunately, they couldn’t. Undeterred, Kaitlin then contacted the patient’s MD this morning, who kindly extended the authorization to 1/30. Kaitlin then promptly called the patient back and scheduled the cardiac scan for 12/31.
This is an excellent example of patient care and initiative—thank you, Kaitlin, for going above and beyond to ensure the patient's needs were met. Keep up the great work!
